Exhibition Text

Diverse in character, The Whakatipu Chronicle is a dynamic group show presenting new and recent artworks by our gallery artists.

The Whakatipu Chronicle features new works by Paul Mason, Freeman White, the time-travelling pou of Anton Forde and rare monoprints by Pat Hanly.

There are major works by Karl Maughan, Israel Birch, Dick Frizzell, Ralph Hotere, Chris Heaphy, Joanna Braithwaite and Ian Scott.

New Zealand’s pre-eminent ceramist – John Parker – is represented by a major suite of works alongside sculpture by Paul Dibble, Graham Bennett, Neil Adcock and Harry Watson.

Peter James Smith, Leanne Morrison, Euan Macleod and Paul McLachlan further enliven the Whakatipu Chronicle.
