 | The Glass Invitational NZ, a biennale survey of contemporary New Zealand glass art is now firmly established as the premier exhibition of New Zealand glass and provides a forum for the varied and various uses, subjects, treatments and applications of this medium. The current exhibition, the second in the series, features fourteen of New Zealand’s leading glass artists, each represented by a body of work central to, and expressive of, their primary artistic concerns. This exhibition again demonstrates the international significance of New Zealand contemporary glass art.
The Glass Invitational NZ opened at Milford Galleries Dunedin on 16 April, 2005 and showed until the end of May. It was at Auckland Museum from 8 July until 4 September, at Canterbury Museum from 23 September to 20 November & finally at Pataka Museum, Porirua from 2 December until 19 February, 2006.
A catalogue is available from Milford Galleries Dunedin. | |
